Terms of Service
Last updated Oct 25, 2026
These terms apply to anyone who uses northcalworks.pages.dev or our services: members (local pros who pay for a membership) and customers (people who post a job). By using the site or signing up, you agree to them.
1. What we do
NorthCal Works finds jobs in the SF Bay Area, talks to the customer, and sends the job and the customer's contact details to a matching member. We do not perform any of the work ourselves. Members are independent businesses, not our employees or agents.
2. Agreements between members and customers
The scope, price, schedule and payment for each job are agreed directly between the member and the customer. We are not a party to that agreement and are not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of the work, or for payment between them. We don't guarantee that a customer will hire a member, or that a member will accept a job.
3. Membership and billing
Membership costs $99/month, billed monthly. After you sign up we email you within 1 business day to activate your account and set up billing. Nothing is charged at sign-up. Membership is month-to-month; you can cancel anytime by emailing northcalworks@gmail.com, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. We may change the price with at least 30 days' email notice before your next billing month.
4. Refunds and replacements
See our Refund Policy. In short: if you don't book a job through us in a billing month, we refund that month's fee on request, and bad leads reported within 7 days are replaced.
5. Licenses, permits and insurance
Members are responsible for holding every license, permit, registration and insurance their work requires. In California, jobs over $1,000 (labor and materials) require a contractor license from the Contractors State License Board (CSLB). We'll ask for your license number when such a job comes up, and we only send those jobs to members who provide one.
6. Member conduct
Use job and contact details only to deal with the customer about that job. Don't resell or share job details, spam customers, or misrepresent your qualifications. We may suspend or end a membership that breaks these rules, with a pro-rated refund of any prepaid fee for the unused part of the month.
7. Customers who post a job
When you post a job, you agree that we can share your request and contact details with matched members so they can contact you. Please give accurate information. You're free to choose whether to hire anyone.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to a member for any claim is limited to the membership fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under California law that can't be waived.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will post the new date at the top of this page; members get an email for material changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
